Work on display at Lagrange Chiropractic

I'm excited to announce that for the months of February and March, my work will be hanging at Lagrange Chiropractic at 1 Bushwick Road in Poughkeepsie, NY.  I am always excited when businesses want to support the arts by offering opportunities to show local work.

Stop by to see my paintings gracing the walls, or better yet, give them a call to book an adjustment or massage (845-471-7850).

Emergence

Size: 18" x 24"
Medium: Oil on Canvas
Date: December 2013

Behold: The new studio!

When I walked through the doors of Art Centro in September, I immediately felt right at home.  The smell of linseed oil and spray fixative shot me right back to the art department at Fontbonne.  When I saw the gorgeous studios for rent, I was in love.

Here is a shot from December 2013 of the painting "Emergence" in progress.

Look for many new paintings to come.  I'm working my tail off in my new space!

Queen City Arts

Once again, it's time for the Queen City Saturday Pop-UP Gallery.  Several of my paintings will be on display for one day only--this Saturday, June 15 from 1-5pm at 330 Main Street in Poughkeepsie, NY.  The gallery is in the perfect location to combine with a trip to Artist's Palate, Brasserie 292 or Bull & Buddha.

Also, mark your calendars for July 20 when there will be a Queen City Block Party full of artists, musicians and more.

Queen City Arts is an advocacy project created by the Dutchess County Arts Council to provide information and promote area artists and cultural events in Poughkeepsie, NY.  We are working to revitalize Poughkeepsie - "The Queen City of the Hudson" through arts-driven partnerships with local artists, residents and business owners.  http://QueenCityArts.org

My work goes political!

Thanks to a collaboration on the part of New York Assembly Member Didi Barrett and Linda Marston-Reid, president of the Dutchess County Arts Council, my work will be hanging in Ms. Barrett's Poughkeepsie office through the summer.  Between the two women, I'm thrilled to have such great support of the arts in Poughkeepsie!
